2143 Tees Can't Be Wrong

Writing a blog entry about something you love should prove to be rather easy, but at times, it is extremely difficult. There are so many things to show, so many wonderful vintage t shirts to display, vintage sellers to promote, personal items to brag about. But tonight what struck me the hardest was the amazing vintage t shirt collection from our Canadian friends Vintage Retro Wear. They are a loyal blog sponsor who have been selling on Ebay for over 10 years! One of the original vintage pioneers. Have a look here at their amazing store.

They currently have 2143 t-shirts listed in their store at the time of this entry. What a great number...has 1 4 3 in it! We do love them indeed, and I think they love each of us in a very special way. Why else would they list so many killer vintage tees?! We stand behind their store, and you should have a peek! You will certainly find a t shirt that you MUST HAVE!

Far From DEAD!

Howdy peeps! Happy Friday as they like to say in the Corporate world. Yuck! Anyhoot, Vintagepimps just scored 25 amazing Grateful Dead tees from the 1970s and 1980's Below are 3 such shirts that we wanted to unveil to the world (or the 5 or so of you who read this blog).

The first Dead tee is from their Radio City Music Hall concert in October of 1981. This tee is PAPER THIN! Completely see through with amazing graphics on the front and back. I was pretty pysched to get this t shirt situated in my ever growing collection.

The second GD tee has equally, if not better graphics on the front and back. This is a Grateful Dead tribute tee chronicling their then 14 year journey on the music scene, beautifully titled "What A Long Strange Trip It's Been." What I love about this tee is all of the Dead symbols, as well as the fact that this is an original tee from 1979. For those of you familiar with the company Junk Food, they took this exact front image and plastered it onto millions of "retro" tees a couple of years back. Real deal here...no immitations will ever grace my closet!

The last Dead tee is one of a kind, and a dream collectible for any Dead, or Star Trek Fan. This tee is from the 1986 Dead Trek convention. It too is buttery soft and see through, and I bet you will never see this shirt ever again. It is essentially priceless in my book. This tee graces my t-shirt wall of fame, and will be proudly hung up next spring in my Chelsea Vintage Store. Look at Garcia, Captain Kirk, and Mr. Spock. Amazing!

Check back soon as we are going to be listing some more 1970s and 1980s Dead tees for your enjoyment!

Black Sabbath, 36 years later...

Leave it to Kyle, owner of StormCrow-Vintage, to list one of the rarest Sabbath tees known to man. When I saw this on his site, I was rather impressed at his ability to find the rarest concert tees on this planet (then again I am always in awe at what he has listed). be sure to have a look at his ebay store, and rest assured that he is the coolest and most honest seller on Ebay, period. Show his store some love and be sure to buy a one of a kind concert tee for your torso.

I Don't Wanna Grow Up

Hey everyone! Sorry for the long lay off in regards to blog entries. I have had a long thought about things...life and vintage, and I have some big news! Me and a buddy of mine will be opening a Vintage Clothing Store in Manhattan (most likely the Chelsea area) in April 2011!

The past month has been filled with buying inventory, planning the store, and trying to contain my excitement. Just wanted to announce that VP's is back and blog postings will be going up daily. I have a lot of new vintage tees and vintage clothing to show everyone.

I think we can all relate that growing up is hard, and there are lots of pressure. Well, nothing a 1986 Toys R Us vintage tee couldn't help with. With this new venture I will be leading,  I won't have to grow up! I will always be a Toys R Us Kid, following my passion and dreams. NY here we come! If you like the below 2 tees, shoot me an email ( vintagepimps@yahoo.com).
